Bella Thorne addresses Whoopi Goldberg's victim blaming comments about a recent scandal of hers, involving hacked photos.
Bella Thorne and Whoopi Goldberg aren’t on good terms right now.
Earlier this week, while Whoopi and her view co-hosts were discussing the recent hacking of Bella Thorne’s private nude photos–of which Bella decided to release herself on social media last week— The View moderator very much blamed Bella for the incident.
During the discussion on Monday, Whoopi stated “If you’re famous, I don’t care how old you are. You don’t take nude pictures of yourself,” she also added “When they are hacking you, they are hacking all of your stuff. So whether it’s one picture or a million pictures, once you take that picture, it goes into the cloud and it’s available to any hacker who wants it and if you don’t know that in 2019, that is an issue. I’m sorry. Your age does not—you don’t get to do that. You don’t get to do it.”
Today, Bella caught wind of Whoopi’s comments and decided to voice her opinion on Instagram, rather than wait for an appearance she had scheduled at The View at a later date.
Bella decided to respond to Whoopi’s comments via Instagram stories after hearing them. First the 21-year-old Disney Channel alum decided to address Whoopi’s comments with a letter written in her Notes app.
Hours later, Bella addressed The View again with a captioned selfie that read:
I was supposed to go on the view but honestly I don’t feel like being beaten down by a bunch of older women

Bella then took a minute to shame Whoopi for her “public opinion” via Instagram Stories in a short video.
