Warning: Spoilers Ahead
I hope you’re ready for another helping of Jen and Judy because Dead to Me has officially been renewed for a second season.
The news was announced recently by the show’s creator Liz Feldman, as she spoke with the stars of the show on a For Your Consideration panel in Los Angeles yesterday.
Season 1 of the coveted dark comedy series is currently streaming on Netflix, and it features Christina Applegate and Linda Cardellini playing a couple of new friends, Jen and Judy. The two meet in a support group and build an improbable relationship.
Season Two. Officially coming to you in 2020!! https://t.co/ir7z5kbPM5— Liz Feldman (@thelizfeldman) June 4, 2019
Without divulging too much information about the second season, show creator Liz Feldman says that fans of the show can expect “more crying.”
Applegate and Cardellini will return in their respective roles for Season 2, but no one is sure if James Marsden who stars as Judy’s estranged ex-fiancé, will make a return due to the first season’s climactic ending.
I’ll just say that you don’t know that she shot him.Liz Feldman / The Hollywood Reporter

Though we don’t have many specifics on when exactly Season 2 will premiere besides that it’s coming in the year 2020, we do know that Liz Feldman will stay on the addictive dark comedy as executive producer for the second season.
Hopefully, Season 2 of Dead To Me will be equally as brilliant as the first.
