Who doesn’t love all things Jason Momoa? Yea, I know..a lot of us are still in our feelings just a tad over him shaving the beard, but hey, it’s hair…it’ll grow back, right? Plus he cut it for a great cause, so we can’t be too upset. But if we thought we couldn’t love him any more than we already do…think again. How about the Aquaman himself flexing his muscles throwing ax’s on The Ellen Show to raise money for charity? Yes, please.
The 39-year-old actor and “giant thing of fabuloustiocity”, as Ellen so eloquently described him, danced his way onto The Ellen Show (*fans self*) for the first time this past Wednesday and he expressed being nervous about his debut on the show.
Momoa and Ellen went on to talk about Momoa and his wife’s pets, an experience of him losing his pet bull Python (and being naked when he found it on under their fridge (*fans self again*), how he sported a shirtless look for the Vanity Fair Oscars party, his initial desire to come to The Ellen Show for Ellen to actually cut his beard and his passion for Aquaman 2.
After chatting it up for a bit, Ellen cuts to another segment where we get to see Momoa in action with one of his hobbies, ax throwing. Ellen failed miserably at her attempt to hit the targets and it is then that Momoa removes the jacket, baring the guns, and prepares to throw a few axes himself. And the crowd goes wild. *queue screams*
Ellen explains that he will be throwing axes in an attempt to raise money for a Hawaii-based organization aimed at reducing single-use plastic waste, which is the cause behind Momoa’s beard-cutting heard ’round the world.
He had 45 seconds to throw axes at targets with dollar values on the wall and he was able to raise an impressive $31,000 in that short time-frame.
