13 Reasons Why season 3 is set to release August 23rd.

Netflix plans to release the second to last season of 13 Reasons Why soon according to the streaming platform.

The newest 13 Reasons Why trailer for the third season of the show confirms that the controversial series from Netflix arrive on the streaming platform on August 23rd.

News of the show’s pending release comes after Netflix decided to reportedly delete a scene from season one that depicted the suicide of Hannah Baker, a character central to the 13 Reasons Why series.

The graphic scene was removed after two years because of “the debate around the show” according to a statement released by Netflix a couple of weeks ago.

The statement from Netflix continued to explain the decision:

“So on the advice of medical experts, including Dr Christine Moutier, Chief Medical Officer at the American Foundation for Suicide Prevention, we’ve decided with creator Brian Yorkey and the producers to edit the scene in which Hannah takes her own life from season one.”
