Many “Game of Thrones” fans are upset with the Season 8 Episode 5 for various reasons.
If you need a quick recap (spoilers ahead) we’ll give you one.
Danaerys executes Varys for treason. Jon Snow pretty much admits he’s more fearful of Dany than he is in love with her. Dany shows no mercy on King’s Landing and burns it to the ground. The Clegane Bowl finally goes down, and both brothers meet their deaths. Cersei and Jaime appear to die in each other’s arms as the Red Keep crumbles, and somehow Arya survives it all.
Apparently, the show isn’t ending the way that a lot of people wanted it to, and fans everywhere are letting their displeasure be known. Here are the hottest takes from Twitter.

-jaime’s character development
-daenerys (she ain’t dead but season 1-7 daenerys is)
That episode was both really good and really bad. I can’t believe we have one episode left and no one of real importance has killed anyone of real importance.— Feitelberg (@FeitsBarstool) May 13, 2019
Can't believe i got tricked into watching another LOST. 🥳— James (@UberHaxorNova) May 13, 2019
Imagine how frustrated you’d be after watching 20+ movies then Marvel told you the Infinity Stones actually aren’t important.— Ben Hoffman (@bhoffman19) May 13, 2019
That’s what #GameOfThrones did with Bran and the Night King.
I’m so mad. GoT just defies all logic now for their convenience. Euron went 3/3 on a rocking boat in water and hit all vital shots last episode but now every scorpion they have missed EVERY SHOT tonight?— Jordan Kaplan (@JKap415) May 13, 2019
I waited all this time for Cersei to die to construction????????????????— Cameron Magruder (@ScooterMagruder) May 13, 2019
Game of Thrones outright annoyed me tonight. So suddenly one dragon is unstoppable when two were easily killed? Sir Gregor is somehow immortal? Lord Varys is executed but Tyron isn’t for the same crime? Hated this episode with the heat of a thousand suns…— Joe Concha (@JoeConchaTV) May 13, 2019
8 seasons. 73 episodes. we first saw her as a victim. she started fighting for herself, for her people. we saw her turning into the mother of dragons. breaker of chains. we saw her saying ‘i’m not my father’. on episode 72, they ended her like this. sorry, dany— Drake France Jaculina (@DrakeJaculina) May 13, 2019
They killed Cersei with rocks bro. Rubble. Debris.— Beyonce has an uncle named Larry Beyince. Bruh…. (@DragonflyJonez) May 13, 2019
like, if you're gonna convince me she was slowly going nuts to the point where she'd commit mass genocide of innocents, you'll have to do better than "she killed some soldiers who refused to surrender last season"— Mina Kimes (@minakimes) May 13, 2019
for everyone saying we should've seen this coming, this is not how it's done, daenerys' descent to madness was underdeveloped and rushed. it is undeniably the result of bad writing. dark dany is interesting but this is not it.— not my daenerys (@targarcyn) May 13, 2019
– The White Walkers have a more satisfying ending than one flying stabby girl attack.— 100T NoahJ456 (@NoahJ456) May 13, 2019
– Dany actually has a reason to kill millions of innocent people instead of some bells triggering her for no reason.
– Ghost gets pet.
Hire me @HBO.
Never in my life did I imagine there'd be a scenario where Cersei's death wouldn't be satisfying.— James (@OaklandAboveAll) May 13, 2019
Ps – when did khaleesi learn how to ride her dragon like she was in top gun? She couldn’t avoid 1 arrow two weeks ago. Tonight she was like T Cruise out there— Dave Portnoy (@stoolpresidente) May 13, 2019
I always knew this arc would culminate in Horse Girl— Jentective Nikachu (@JennyENicholson) May 13, 2019

Mixed feelings on that episode, but frustrated that with 8 seasons of despising Cersai only to have her die in the lamest way AND making the audience feel sorry for her instead of getting any sort of satisfying death is blah
We need an all female reboot of the Game of Thrones writers room.— The Volatile Mermaid (@OhNoSheTwitnt) May 13, 2019
I mean, I'm used to men wasting my time, but seven years is a little excessive #GameofThrones— Jessica Taylor Price Is Right (@infinitejessp) May 13, 2019
#GameofThrones systematically tore down every strong female lead that they had this season outside of Arya for LITERALLY no reason.— Fearless/Lessfear (@Quotemeorelse) May 13, 2019
Cersei is scared??
Daenerys is a mad queen??
Sansa is a backstabber??
WTF is that? pic.twitter.com/93NrPZF3J1
