Rihanna and Louis Vuitton are teaming up for a new high fashion line.

Last week in the aftermath of the Camp themed Met Gala, people kept asking why the true queen of the heralded fashion fundraiser —Rihanna—wasn’t in attendance.

A recent report from the New York Times Styles suggests that Rihanna’s very noticeable absence from the Met Gala was caused by Rihanna being too busy securing bags.

The report from the Times says that Louis Vuitton will partner with Rihanna’s and her Fenty brand to create a new luxury Maison.

Rihanna will reportedly be behind the creative direction of the new luxury house, making her the first woman and WOC to create a brand under the prestigious LVMH name.

According to NYT Styles, Rihanna’s Fenty brand will also be the first new house created under the LVMH umbrella since the late 1980s.

The first Fenty Collection under LVMH is set to debut in Paris on May 22nd.

Rihanna’s growth has been amazing to witness. Who would’ve known that this little island girl from Barbados would someday ascend to absolute mogul status in the beauty and high fashion industries?

Though it doesn’t look like we’ll be getting any music soon, we’re not complaining. GET THAT COIN.
