A Georgia woman took to social media to claim that an UberEats driver ate a good portion of food she had ordered.
The woman, Vanessa Harell, posted a status on Facebook alleging that a delivery driver had eaten the meat (oxtails) from her food order, and a portion of her yams.
Harrell shared pictures of the damage with this caption:
I ordered #UberEats from the same restaurant that I’ve ordered from before and this time the new delivery driver ate my food… NEVER AGAIN. I called the restaurant and texted them this picture, the lady at the restaurant that made my food said, “the driver ate all of your meat and some of your yams too.” 😳😳😳 MY TRUST IS GONE FOREVER!!!
She then addressed the accused delivery driver directly:
#Twahnica you should be ashamed of yourself. I would have given you the entire order if you told me you were hungry. Don’t do this to people.
Harrell posted the Facebook status addressing the situation early Thursday. Since its posting, the status has garnered over 29,000 reactions and 43,000 shares.
In a response to a commenter, Harrell explained that the driver made a quick exit before she could even say anything about the meal feeling “light”:
Harrell also discussed the meal’s costs with commenters.
Before sharing that Uber Eats had contacted her and refunded the money.
A few part-time Uber Eats delivery drivers chimed in to apologize for their fellow driver’s actions.
But it doesn’t look like the accused delivery driver wants to own up to the alleged food thievery.
Either way, it doesn’t look like Harrell will be ordering from Uber Eats again.
