Today has been a crazy day. With headlines like the release first full-length release of the Aladdin remake and the news that Full House star Lori Loughlin has been indicted for a college admissions scandal — it almost feels like we just spent a whole day in the 90s.

The college admissions scandal that involves a bunch of wealthy folks, school administrators, and coaches is also affecting the kids of parents who were involved in the scam. One student catching a lot of heat on social media is the daughter of Lori Loughlin and designer Mossimo Giannulli, Olivia Giannulli (Olivia Jade).

In August of 2018 Olivia caught the ire of many who struggle(d) to pay for college when she released an insensitive vlog to her 1.9 million Youtube followers. In it Jade essentially says that she doesn’t care about being at USC.

Though Olivia apologized for her callous video days later, the recent indictment of her parents in today’s Ivy League admissions scandal has people side-eyeing the young Youtuber and her privilege once again.

People are also taking this time to note the interesting comments Olivia made about her father’s rather shady collegiate credentials.

Others are using memes to address Olivia and her role in the current scandal that reeks of privilege.

So far Olivia Jade’s social media accounts have been understandbly mum on the scandal her family is facing but we’ll be sure to keep you updated.
